The MCC Young Members invite our Next Genner’s back for their annual wine appreciation evening
October 30, 2018

Following a successful event last year, our Next Gens have been invited by the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) Young Members Association to present wines to their members in a special tasting event.

The MCC Young members association, run by young professionals who passionately support the AFL and the MCC, create interesting and enjoyable events for their members. This wine tasting with our  own ‘young members’   is a great opportunity to bring two the like-minded groups together.

The wine tasting will take place in the renown long-room at the MCG on Thursday 22 November. Each AFFW family will present four wines according to the theme  ‘Classics versus New Kids’. While the theme is open to interpretation guests are likely to enjoy familiar  favourites like the Campbells Bobbie Burns Shiraz next to some lesser known varieties such as The McWilliam’s Vermentino or De Bortoli’s Villages Tempranillo Touriga.

Next Genners attending will be Caroline and Emma Brown from Brown Brothers, Jane and Chris Tyrrell from Tyrrell’s, Scott McWilliam from McWilliam’s wines, Susie Campbell from Campbells just to name a few.

The AFFW Next Gens will take the young members on a journey through their family vineyards, showcasing some of their favourite wines and telling the family tales behind them.

If you are a member or know someone who is, come along, taste, talk and learn from some of the most loved and respected names in Australian wine.
