Australia’s First Families of Wine is an exciting initiative created by 12 family owned Australian wineries. Together we represent 16 Australian regions across four states and between us our families have more than 1200 years of winemaking experience.

Australia’s First Families of Wine are all about just that – family. We are twelve of our country’s leading multi-generational winemakers that are the heart and soul of Australian wine.
With history, heritage and provenance, these families are rich with unique characters, stories and icon wines that are part of Australia’s vinous past – and future.
Custodians Of The Soil
Our message is all about the farms and rich soils that we work, the quality of the wines we craft and the pride we have in our history and how it has shaped who we are and what we stand for.
Together, we are the custodians of over 5000 hectares of land that includes some of Australia’s most iconic vineyards, creating premium quality wines that proudly bear our names.

Formed in Australia in 2009, Australia’s First Families of Wine came together to tell the world about the heritage of Australia’s premium wines and to share the stories behind them. We celebrate those things we have in common and the differences that make us unique.
